The combined length of the five nails of his left hand were found to be a staggering 6.15 m (20 ft 2.25 in). Shridhar does not grow the nails on his right hand. His ambition to grow his nails started from a young age. Shridhar's hand is now permanently disfigured from supporting the weight of the nails all these years, and nerve damage has resulted in deafness in his left ear.
