Trump Turnberry in south Ayrshire provides the spectacular coastal setting for the 39th edition of the championship, which has a prize of £2m.
American Mo Martin earned her first major title with a dramatic one-shot victory last year but her list of rivals reads like a who's who of women's golf, including world number one Inbee Park, teenage sensation Lydia Ko of New Zealand and 2013 champion Stacy Lewis of the USA. Scotland's Catriona Matthew, who won this title in 2009, heads the British prospects.

Round 2
Live coverage of the second day's action at the Women's British Open, introduced by Hazel Irvine.
2015's line-up is the strongest in tournament history with the top 20 in the world rankings all competing, along with all the other golfers riding high in the LPGA Tour or Ladies European Tour orders of merit.
Turnberry's Ailsa course is staging the championship for the second time, having first done so in 2002, when Australian Karrie Webb won the sixth of her seven major titles.

Round 3
Live third-round coverage of the Women's British Open. The fourth women's major of the year, it features all of the world's best golfers and in 2015 takes place at Trump Turnberry in south Ayrshire. The last British winner was Scotland's Catriona Matthew, who finished three shots clear of the chasing pack in 2009. The last two Opens have been won by Americans - with Stacy Lewis triumphant in 2013 and Mo Martin winning in 2014.

Final Round
Live coverage from the final round of the Women's British Open at Trump Turnberry in south Ayrshire. 2014's championship produced a dramatic and unexpected conclusion, with American Mo Martin - then ranked 99th in the world - making an eagle on the 18th hole to finish a shot clear of China's Shanshan Feng and Norway's Suzann Pettersen. South Korea's Inbee Park finished a further shot back, failing to capitalise on her overnight lead, but the current world number one will be determined to make amends by claiming her first British Open this time around.
