As Janine and Ludo return to Meerdijk, the question arises: what happened to Stefano and Valentijn? Did they survive the explosion? Nina and Bing also return home and discuss what to tell to the children. Is the truth too horrible?

While the dust from the attack on the Sanders family has yet to settle, all restaurant owners are asked to participate in Meerdijk's 350th anniversary celebrations. Troj was planning to leave, but changes his mind when he sees how close Nola and Steef are. Janine is unpleasantly surprised when she suddenly sees Henriëtte.

Bizou wants nothing more to do with Julian now that she knows he is her biological father. She gives Marwan notice and wants to return to Paris. Demi tries to mediate, but will she succeed? Laura and Henk are doing their best to make everything run smoothly now that they are living together again on friendly terms.

Henriëtte comes to collect the debt Stefano still owed Andrea. Ludo asks the family to keep to their plan and cooperate as much as possible. Linda and Luuk try to find out what really happened in Belgium, but Ludo and Janine only tell them half the truth.

Richard appears to have returned to Meerdijk. When Valentijn wants nothing to do with him, Richard turns his charm on Henriëtte. Demi is shocked when Luuk confronts her about stealing sleeping pills during her shift at the hospital. Troj advises Bizou to give her father another chance.

Henk is fired when he behaves unreasonably. Laura is slowly recovering and is starting to look forward to the anniversary party in honor of Meerdijk's 350th anniversary. Nina thinks Bing has been traumatized by the events at the castle and wants him to go to therapy. Stefano tells Elisa and Rik about the scam by Andrea and Dr. Bachmann.

Valentijn is annoyed that Henriëtte has passed him over. Janine is so upset about Ludo and recent events that she confides in Linda. Ludo shows Valentijn and Henriëtte around the depot and can't prevent them from seeing his private collection. Marwan gets help from Bizou in organizing the anniversary party.

Rik thinks he can help Stefano by boxing with him. Nina discovers that Max has been gaming for hours and wants to set a limit. Ludo sees that Nola is being too friendly with Valentijn and urges her to keep her distance. Nola wants to know why. Will Ludo and Janine tell her the truth?

Much to her parents' frustration, Nola is laconic about losing her diploma. Steef reacts enthusiastically when he finds out that he has a filthy rich girlfriend, but Troj has his doubts. Ludo notices that Valentine is hurt by the fact that he doesn't belong to the family. Janine suggests that they could use this to their advantage.

Ludo makes a mysterious phone call. What is he up to? Valentijn catches Henriëtte with Richard. He suspects Richard of trying to get hold of the Auction House through her. Bing and Nina each come up with their own plan to get Nola to go back to school. Valentijn takes a seat in the Auction House and tries to figure out the code to the safe.

Elisa and Rik are stunned when they find a baby in their living room. Julian thwarts Marwan's plans for the anniversary party in honor of Meerdijk's 350th anniversary. Ludo is unpleasantly surprised when it turns out that Janine has told Linda everything about the happenings at the castle. Linda promises to keep her mouth shut, but Ludo has heard that before.

Elisa is worried because Rik doesn't want anything to do with his newborn daughter Olivia. Henk surprises Elly when he books a room for them at the Rozenboom. Demi sees a new colleague and falls in love instantly. Luuk notices and asks her not to let herself be distracted. Stefano gets Valentijn drunk and lets him get behind the wheel.

Julian is startled when Jean-Pierre Pascal, Bizou's father, unexpectedly appears before him. Laura makes progress in her rehabilitation and starts walking again. Demi feels uncomfortable when her colleague Zoran shows interest in her. Henk tries to impress Elly during their date and hurts himself.

Janine helps Stefano deal with his frustrations about Valentijn. Nina and Bing want to surprise Rik with a baby shower now that he has accepted that Olivia is his daughter. Nola receives one rejection after another from potential schools and calls on her parents for help. Ludo is satisfied when his plan to trap Henriëtte seems to be working.

Luuk and Linda are super excited to start renovating the shed, but they have different ideas about what to do with it. Nola can't resist Troj and tries to kiss him. Janine and Ludo set a trap for Henriëtte and hope Valentijn will side with them.

Troj manages to get permission to renovate Linda and Luuk's bathroom. Ludo is satisfied when Valentijn fires Henriëtte and breaks off contact with her for good. Jean-Pierre confronts Julian with an old photo in which he is embracing Jessica. He asks him what it means.

While Rik has finally learned to enjoy their new addition, baby Olivia, with Elisa, it turns out that Shanti has returned to Meerdijk. Bing and Nina realize how spoiled their daughter Nola is acting and are annoyed by her behavior. Troj can't take it anymore and asks Nola to choose between him and Steef.

Stefano looks up Valentijn and invites him to join the Sanders family at their anniversary party. What is he planning? Bing refuses to go with Nina when she surprises him with a trip for some much-needed quality time. Angry, she decides to go alone. Marwan is feeling unwell, but he doesn't slow down when it comes to his tasks for Meerdijk's anniversary party.

A range of former residents of Meerdijk make a comeback for the anniversary party. While Sil and Noud are busy setting up for the party, Ludo is taken aback by Charlie's arrival. Jessica is also back and trying to save her marriage. Marwan has to relinquish control of the party when Luuk diagnoses him with acute appendicitis. While Stefano serves a special dish for Valentijn at their party table, Lucas' arrival throws a spanner in the works. To end the day, Laura and Henk decide to get some fresh air at the beach.

Linda shares Simon's secret with Luuk: is it possible that she has a nephew or niece? In the hope that everything will be all right, Jessica writes a farewell letter to Bizou, in which she takes all the blame upon herself. Julian touches everyone with a speech in which he recalls fond memories with a smile and a tear.

Ludo realizes that Stefano has informed Charlie that Valentijn is blackmailing them and attempts to prevent the situation from escalating. Nola is unable to choose between Troj and Steef and unexpectedly receives assistance from Lucas in resolving this issue. Rik ultimately agrees to make arrangements with Shanti regarding visitation rights for Olivia, but this does not go as planned.

Family, friends, and Henk prepare for Laura's funeral and take her to her final resting place. Jessica wants to talk to her daughter Bizou, but she refuses. When Bizou sees how difficult it is for Julian to say goodbye to Laura, she softens a little. Shanti also shows up at the funeral, much to the displeasure of Rik and Elisa.

Marwan is still recovering from his operation and can only watch helplessly as Bizou takes over his duties at the Rozenboom. Linda asks Janine if she will help her search for Simon's child. Demi is asked out by Zoran and immediately becomes extremely nervous.

Manu is sent home by the soccer club in Barcelona, much to everyone's surprise. Henk and Elly are enjoying themselves at home, but then Linda suddenly shows up at the door. Will Henk dare to introduce Elly as his new girlfriend? Stefano can't resist and comes up with a new plan to take Valentijn down.

Bing convinces Nina that she, like the children, must adhere to the imposed screen time, but that is more challenging than anticipated. Rik and Elisa are uncomfortable with Olivia staying with Shanti until they realize that they now have time for each other again. Luuk asks Troj where the hired contractor is to renovate the bathroom. Will Troj dare to tell the truth?

Stefano admits what he really thinks of Ludo's idea to treat Valentine as family. Nola can't choose between Steef and Troj. Without telling them she has a problem, she asks Bizou and Marwan for advice. Linda and Janine find an old address book belonging to Simon. Could this provide a clue in their search for his child?

Nola confesses to Steef that she kissed Troj. Steef lashes out at Troj and leaves in anger. Julian invites Henk over for a gourmet dinner to discuss Laura's inheritance. Henk wants Elly to come along. Marwan has trouble leaving his work to Bizou, so he asks the staff at De Rozenboom to keep a close eye on her.

Julian thinks Steef has gone too far and sticks to his decision to let Bizou share in Laura's inheritance. Demi becomes uncertain when she thinks Zoran has left without explanation after staying the night, and she refuses to be reassured by Bizou. Ludo stages an emotional moment for Valentijn, while Stefano has a mysterious meeting with a woman.

Demi goes on a date with Zoran and conceals her study deadline. She resorts to using resources to meet it, but is caught by Zoran. Stefano puts pressure on his accomplice because he wants to carry out his plan for revenge. Ludo realizes he is being followed and thinks he knows by who. Julian and Henk get into an argument when Henk wants to take Laura's belongings to the thrift store.

Troj hides his financial problems from Luuk and tries to solve them. Now that she has broken up with Steef, Nola is staying with her grandparents. Ludo takes advantage of this and questions her about Valentijn. Rik and Elisa are worried when Shanti is late bringing Olivia back and they cannot reach her.

Rik doesn't trust Shanti and takes action. Bizou makes a good impression on her boss, but doesn't realize that someone is sabotaging her on Marwan's orders. Bing is annoyed when Nina leaves him to take care of the children while he has to study. Henk wants to organize a giveaway evening and invites Laura's family and friends to come and sort through her belongings together.

The Sanders family prepares for their annual family photo, this time with Valentijn. Julian wonders what went wrong between Nola and Steef. Bizou confronts Marwan about his childish behavior. He can't take it and kicks her out of the house. Linda is in contact with someone named Astrid who may have known Simon when he lived in Iceland.

Luuk sees Linda in tears: she got a call from her cousin. Shanti wants to force Rik into a visitation arrangement for Olivia, but Rik won't stand for it and makes a counter move. Bizou moves into the studio above De Koning. She surprises both Julian and Demi by asking them how it felt to find out Jessica's secret.

Rik reports Shanti to the police for abandoning Olivia. Steef and Troj are invited to Nola's Halloween party. As a joke, they first immerse themselves in polyamory. Bing and Nina receive a call from the school: Manu has attacked a classmate. Manu now has to tell his parents that he is being bullied.

Marwan is happy to be back at work at De Rozenboom. However, his good mood quickly disappears when he finds out that Bizou has been promoted. Ludo makes it clear to Valentijn that he still hasn't managed to win Janine's trust. When he sees that this upsets Valentijn, he is extremely satisfied.

Stefano and his accomplice discover that Ludo is planning a helicopter flight to a location in the middle of the North Sea. Linda is extremely nervous about her first meeting with her cousin Haakon and sends Luuk away. Henk is becoming increasingly sick, but tries to put on a brave face for Elly. Janine tries to prevent Ludo from doing something he will regret.

Ludo returns alone from the oil rig and tells Janine and Stefano what happened to Valentijn. Nola has a very exciting date with Steef and Troj. Demi and Julian advise Nina and Bing to keep a close eye on Manu, even though the bullying seems to be over now. Henk goes to work despite his flu, but becomes so short of breath that Elly has to call 112.

The judge has ruled that Shanti can see her daughter, and she is enjoying her first evening with her. Rik and Elisa argue about this ruling, and Elisa leaves. Linda overwhelms Haakon with her enthusiasm and doesn't realize that Luuk thinks she is rushing things. Nina tries to seduce Bing, but he has to prepare for his first day of internship at the ambulance service.

During their first visit to the mediator, things get heated between Rik and Shanti. Troj lies to Luuk, saying he made a mistake in his budget to solve his problem with Jurre's loan. Bing tries to seduce Nina, but she has a busy day. Stefano can't get hold of his accomplice and wonders what happened to Valentijn.

Bizou and Marwan are getting better and better at working together. Still, Marwan is wary when Bizou asks for his help. Things are getting more serious between Demi and Zoran. Nola, Steef, and Troj try to keep their relationship fun and make a schedule. Ludo is questioned by the police about Valentijn's disappearance. But then a bloodstained watch is found in Ludo's car.
