Stranraer
Join Edith Bowman and Colin Murray at the Stranraer Oyster Festival, as celebrations mark the start of the native oyster season. They sail into Loch Ryan to Scotland's largest oyster bed to discover why they're so special. Chef Julie Lin discovers bargains in the World Food aisles, and gets the low down on low fat, semi-skimmed and full fat milk. Farmer Jim Smith gets stuck into some sticky sweets.

Anstruther
Edith Bowman introduces Colin Murray to her home town of Anstruther on a food adventure. As well as its famous fish and chips, they discover how artisan bread is being made for the community. Farmer Jim Smith tests his tastebuds with some hot sauces, and discovers the secrets of marmalade. Chef Julie Lin is in Dundee finding out how bakers keep up with demand around the clock.

Glasgow
Edith Bowman and Colin Murray explore the Glasgow Foodies' Festival, where they discover the secrets to the best egg fried rice with chef Jimmy Lee, and how to spot ‘fake' vanilla. Chef Julie Lin digs deep to reveal some myths about frozen food. Farmer Jim Smith learns the art of pickling, and discovers how and why one farm is turning its oats into milk.

Nairn
Edith Bowman and Colin Murray explore the Nairn Show to find tips and treats among the food stalls, including how to spot the perfect egg and how to choose the juiciest berries. Elsewhere, chef Julie Lin is on a mission to discover why Scots like their sausages square, and how to find affordable seafood. And farmer Jim Smith raises a glass to non-alcoholic beer, wine and spirits.

The Repair Shop
The Repair Shop is a workshop of dreams, where broken or damaged cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life.
Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.
Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.
The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
