Farm Kings - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Partner Dan
Tensions mount between the four oldest King brothers as the farming season kicks off, and Dan's lack of focus calls to question whether he's ready to join the partnership. Equipment failure, flooding, and heated arguments put the Kings' first large planting in jeopardy of even making it into the ground.

Mother Knows Best
Lisa King's work ethic has inspired all her kids, but when Joe brings her down to help open their home farm market for the season, her opinions clash with the separate visions of her sons, Joe and Pete. Can Mama Bear and her cubs get on the same page in time to open in less than a week?

A Growing Business
Joe decides to take a trip to Polyface Farms to get some tips on sustainable farming from the Kings' idol, Joel Salatin. Dan, left behind to pick up Joe's slack, questions his role on the farm and considers leaving the farm if things don't change - fast.

No Rain, No Gain
The nation's worst drought in fifty years looms over Freedom Farms and threatens to ruin the Kings' early plantings of corn and tomatoes. With their irrigation pond getting precariously low, how will Tim manage to stave off disaster and save their cash crops?

When It Rains, It Pours

We're All Family
The Kings gather together to honor the two most important things to them - community and family - with a car wash supporting Down syndrome awareness and the Special Olympics. But when Elizabeth notices some serious lapses in some employees' abilities at the market, can Joe and Pete right the ship before they start losing loyal customers?

Dog Days of Summer
As the weather heats up, so do the Kings' tempers, so when tensions mount between several of the younger boys, Tim devises a way to help them settle their differences on the fields instead of in them.

Cooking with the Kings
Bitty tries to generate some buzz for the struggling New Kensington Market by inviting local food writers to a dinner hosted by the Kings. Will she get the boys out of the fields to patiently wait tables, or will Bitty's fancy food creations cause more frustration than fanfare?

Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Surprise interest from a local major league sports franchise forces Joe and his brothers to reconsider their entire business model. Meanwhile, Lisa must keep a cool head as things heat up between the Mama Bear and one troublesome mother-of-the-bride.

Harvest Moon Rising
As the remaining days of the season count down, two important King family members are down for the count. As Tim and Pete suffer through sickness, Joe, Dan, Lisa and the rest of the King Family will have to step up to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, all while planning their first ever end-of-season Fall Festival. Will the festival be a success or will lack of profits and another hard year on the farm make for a long, cold winter?
