Eileen tells Sam that she never wanted him and that's why she gave him up. But when she sees how much it's hurting him, she admits how hard it was for her, and how hard it's been ever since. She shows him his hospital tag that she's kept since he was born. At the end of the episode, Lucy returns from a night out with the girls to find her mum on the doorstep of the Swan looking lovingly into Sam's eyes and after he rejected her in the previous episode, she jumps to the conclusion that he and Eileen are seeing each other!
