Expedition to the Edge - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Beginning of the End?
The crew of the Infinity is in the Marshall Islands preparing for one of the most dangerous expeditions known to man -- sailing farther north than any sail ship ever has. If they don't leave in time, they risk being locked in arctic ice for ten months.

Sink or Swim
The Infinity crew is on its way to Dutch Harbor and a brewing storm system threatens to put them through their first real test. They stop in an atoll to get the boat storm-ready but they quickly find themselves anchored in an area littered with bombs.

No Turning Back
After crossing the North Pacific, the Infinity arrives in Dutch Harbor. Unprepared for the arctic, the crew uses this opportunity to stock up on supplies and ready the boat before making their way into the mouth of the treacherous North West Passage.

Rock Bottom
The crew of Infinity enters the Arctic Circle, where they encounter a brutal storm and their first ice. As they push toward the next safe harbor, they run aground in dangerously shallow waters with a wall of ice closing in on them.

It All Falls Apart
Fear of overwintering in the Arctic becomes more and more real as the crew becomes trapped in ice. Tensions on the ship reach a boiling part pushing one crew member over the edge.

Man Overboard
The crew receives an ominous warning from the Coast Guard and must make a tough decision. Abandoning the mission would require overwintering in the Arctic, but a desperate attempt to push through and escape the Northwest Passage could be fatal.
