A colleague tells Harry to marry her or stop having dinner with her.

Carol's dinner plans with her loathsome ex-husband puzzle Harry and Barbara. Meanwhile Harry has ongoing problems with his dog.

Harry starts out the day with a child who does not want to get a shot then progressing to being told Barbara is in the hospital after being shot on the job.

Carol fears that Harry is going to die after a longtime acquaintance of Harry's passes away. Meanwhile, Blanche who has the hots for Harry keeps making passes at him.

Barbara plans to marry a surgeon which sets Carol off because of just having broken up with her trainer.

Harry takes a trip to the Bahamas and encounters problems.

Charlie gets sick and imposes on Harry; Laverne's husband is in a slump and the owner of his baseball team wants to trade him to another team in Tucson.

Harry gets into a bind when both his daughters have special events on the same day and he promises to show up at both events without realizing it is the same day.

Carol ends up dating a lifetime friend of Harry's which causes some problems for him.
