Emergency Nurses: A&E Stories throws the spotlight on the incredible work and relatable home lives of some of the NHS's 60,000 most vital staff / young nurses on the frontline of A&E.
Taking up residency at Northwick Park Hospital in Northwest London, we go inside one of the UK's busiest Emergency Departments, whose young nurses are on hand to tell the down and dirty truth about life on AND off the ward.
Hard work, true grit and a lot of laughs – these are determined young people who dive-in and thrive in a workplace most of us hope we never have to go to.

Lou races against the clock to save a patient with suspected meningitis, before making a decision about his future at Northwick Park. Ruth treats a patient who has drunk acid.

Northwick Park Nurses RJ and Lou have a big day trying to save lives in resus, but after shift they have a Filipino feast to look forward to with their work family.

Episode 6
Senior sister Heather runs the hectic helicopter shift and intercepts a walk-in stroke patient, and RJ bakes cakes for A+E's bake off event.

Nurse Ellie treats a life-or-death cardiac arrest patient and RJ faces a new challenge.

The team at Northwick Park treat a man who's fallen off a ladder.

There is an unexpected emergency in the toilet, and it's Lou's last day at Northwick Park.

The series deals with a variety of controversial topics, including abortion, gun control, physical disabilities, racism, sexism, religion, the Israeli/Palestinian situation, terrorism, transsexuality, slavery, incest, sexual harassment in education, the homeless, statutory rape, drug addiction, pedophilia, child abuse, mental illness, gay rights and dumpster babies.
