Iván averigua, a través de una carta de su prima, toda la verdad sobre su pasado, todo lo que sus padres quisieron siempre ocultarle. También Carol ha recibido malas noticias, su madre ha sido ingresada de urgencia en el hospital. Además, se ha enterado de la peor forma: de boca de los periodistas del corazón. Dos crisis familiares que se suman a la situación de Jacinta y Miguel. Ella, tratando de adaptarse a su nuevo papel de abuela y él intentando superar la muerte de sus padres. Miguel está resentido por lo que acaba de vivir. Las investigaciones de los chicos empiezan a dar sus frutos. Publicaron un anuncio para seguir la pista de las niñas desaparecidas y ahora, por fin, alguien ha respondido a su llamada. También Vicky y Julia parecen haber dado en el clavo con Mateo. El joven profesor llegó a La Laguna Negra huyendo de su pasado, pero las chicas no van a permitir que olvide tan fácilmente lo que hizo. A Fermín, sin embargo, no le va demasiado bien con sus pesquisas. Justo cuando había averiguado cómo abrir la caja fuerte de Alfonso, le han comunicado que su misión en La Laguna Negra ha terminado. Elsa quiere dar una rueda de prensa para aclarar el incidente con la madre de Carol pero, una vez más, Héctor no está de acuerdo con su decisión. La directora no soporta más la actitud de Héctor, siempre en desacuerdo con ella tanto en lo profesional como en lo personal. Pero Pedro también está harto del comportamiento de Elsa, que siempre ha jugado con él y es la culpable de su ruptura con Amelia. El profesor de deportes ya no aguanta más, está decidido a decirle a Héctor, su amigo de siempre, toda la verdad.
