Marcos va a pasar uno de los momentos más duros de su vida: reconocer a sus padres en el depósito de cadáveres o, más bien, lo que queda de ellos tras meses de descomposición en el agua. No le ha dicho nada a su hermana del macabro hallazgo del barco, pero Paula, escondida bajo las escaleras, se ha enterado de la terrible noticia al escuchar una conversación entre Jacinta y Pedro. En el depósito, todavía le espera a Marcos una sorpresa más, allí va a conocer a alguien que sabe mucho sobre él y que tiene mucha información que proporcionarle. María se debate entre la vergüenza y la culpabilidad por lo que pasó cuando nació Iván, y la rabia que siente al saber que una impostora está usurpando su lugar como madre. Una emoción que crece ahora que Iván está enfermo y está sintiendo, en cierto modo, lo que hubiera sido poder cuidar a su hijo. Samuel también está enfermo, el pequeño está ardiendo de fiebre. Elsa está decidida a quedarse con el bebé pero sabe, del mismo modo, que si empeora no tendrá más remedio que llamar a un médico tarde o temprano. Lucas y Martín descubren por casualidad la puerta secreta que comunica el armario de su habitación con el desván. Allí arriba parece no haber más que trastos viejos: muebles rotos, un antiguo proyector... Sin embargo, Martín ha encontrado, sin saberlo, la pista que estaba buscando para esclarecer, por fin, su oscuro y doloroso pasado. También Fermín, está haciendo reveladores hallazgos gracias a los planos que hizo Nora antes de morir. Unos mapas muy concretos que le acercarán más que nunca a lo que ha buscado desde siempre.
