COVID-19: Sobriety in a Time of Crisis

People struggling with addiction are at a much higher risk for relapse as their lives and routines are put on pause during the global coronavirus pandemic. Many people have been introduced to new stressors as they're laid off from work, have loved ones getting sick, or they're being cooped up in their homes alone for weeks wondering when will this end? People who never thought they had a drinking problem are drinking more and are starting to wonder if they might develop a problem. Today, Dr. Phil talks to Anne, a woman who says that she and her boyfriend broke up a few days after they began self-isolating and shares that she's been drinking alcohol to help heal her broken heart. Also, two former guests, Danielle and Niki, join Dr. Phil to share the struggles they've seen firsthand in the sober community during the pandemic.
