First through the doors are Nikki and her husband Iain. Nikki's been suffering from chronic obesity and her relationship is under tremendous strain. Christian believes there's more to the story than meets the eye and sets about trying to get to the root of Nikki's problem.
Next into the clinic are Alex and his fiancé Lucy. Alex became a quadruple amputee after contracting the life threatening condition Strep A. After surviving the infection, his pain management regime has caused him to become dependent on his medication, which is affecting his relationship with his young son.
Julie is in next with her sister Laura. Julie has been suffering from Post orthostatic tachycardia syndrome or POTS which has left her housebound and unable to stand up for more than a few minutes. The extremity of the chronic condition has left Julie unable to lead a normal life, but the in house POTS specialist has some ground-breaking techniques that could offer hope.
Last but not least is Lisa, who's developed a protruding stomach after having three children with her husband Carlos. The condition has made Lisa highly self-conscious and has led to difficulties between her and her husband. Christian attempts to find the answers to solve both their physical and emotional issues and get their relationship back on track.
