The Division I Men's Basketball - NIT Tournament - Selection Show is a 32-team National Invitation Tournament field will be announced Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The NIT field is chosen from teams left out of the 68-team NCAA Tournament, with games in the first three rounds generally played at the home arena of the lower-seeded team. Automatic bids in the NIT are given to teams that have won their conference regular season titles but lost their conference tournaments and were left out of the NCAA field.
