The mid-fifties Anne Marie Fuchs ( Lina Wendel ) lives modestly and in seclusion in Düsseldorf. Her only regular contact is the boss of the restaurant café „ Midsummer ", Simone Papst ( Jasmine Difficulties ), who always has a good coffee for Anne and can have it written to her. When Simon's brother Sebastian finds the best buddy murdered and Sebastian disappears without a trace, Anne offers her help. It quickly becomes clear that the inconspicuous lady, who is always short at the checkout, seems to be an absolute investigator with a razor-sharp mind. No wonder, because Anne Marie Fuchs is a former GDR spy, a past that she shares with Olaf Ruhleben ( Torsten Michaelis ).
He was Anne's lead officer and is now trying to recruit her as a specialist for his security company a good 20 years later. But the „ vixen " refuses, because it still has an invoice from its active time, for which it needs its energy to settle it. With the support of Simon's husband Youssef El Kilali ( Karim Cherif ), Anne goes in search of Sebastian and, with her sometimes radical methods, crosses several limits of legality.
