Dhootha - Season 1

When Sagar the Chief Editor of ‘Samacharam' newspaper, finds a crossword puzzle in a dhaba. The puzzle predicts a terrifying incident that would occur in his life.

Police Detective Kranthi Shenoy is given the suicide case of a popular journalist. While investigating she suspects foul play. Ajay Ghosh under Sagar's instruction, interrogates Koti which leads to more problems.

Suicide investigation leads Kranthi to gun smuggling racket which eventually leads to the disappearance of Koti. Koti's truck being involved in the accident, brings Sagar and Ajay Ghosh into the investigation's purview. During the launch of ‘Samacharam's' first copy, Sagar receives a mysterious message in the form of old newspaper scrap.

While Sagar and Ajay Ghosh discuss recent events, they find a clue from the old newspaper scrap which drives their investigation further. Kranti and Ranga discover a connection between the case and Sagar's farm house. The suspense continues to build.

As Kranthi and Ranga continue the investigations they find an unexpected dead body. Sagar follows Kiran Reddy, the research head and host for the YouTube show "Ghost Shadows," and learns about Ravi's research into journalist's suicide. Sagar gets a newspaper scrap with yet another ominous prediction.

As Kranthi's investigative net tightens around Sagar, he decides to visit Dhootha Publications in an attempt to unravel the mystery behind Sathyamurthy's book. The story delves into a shocking past. With this information Sagar goes to the light house, closing in on the truth.

As deaths continue, Sagar is forewarned about an impending danger to his family, he comes clean to Kranthi and together they race against time to stop the newspapers' deadly prediction.

Priya becomes the target of a mysterious killer. As the events unfold, Sagar's past and family secrets comes to light, Kranti begins to connect the dots to uncover the truth.
