Next thing there's top brass, smelling of scent, giving him hand-outs, asking about his ex-wife Dana. That's how it all began. A right season in hell.

The CID, stinking of scent; the aristocracy warming his legs with their cigars; the girl in a mac and not much else. Trouble is, the only one who seems to know is Dana. His ex. But she's not saying.
