The case quickly divides French opinion: some see it as a tragic accident, while others condemn the unforgivable brutality of the blows. Since then, the case has continued to resurface, with the mysterious suicide of Kristina Rady, Bertrand Cantat's wife, and new revelations about the singer's conduct.
