Season 1
Ex Commando John de Koning, traumatized by a failed mission in Nigeria, is confronted with a murderer who is trying to kill him and his fellow comrades. He decides to start a fight, but the war he declared threatens him to lose his comrades, his family and himself.

Simon
When John finds important evidene that someone is planning an attack on the important Nigerian politician Obadiya Zuberi, he suspects one of his former commando brothers. His best friend Simon is angry to be tasked to protect Obadiya, while they both have a dark past with him. A secret mission that went terribly wrong.

Obadiya
Devastated by the death of his best friend, John sets out to find out what actually happened. He is suspended from his job in security and Isabelle picks him up to interrogate him. He doesn't talk, but blames her for being the cause of Simon's death. While everything seems to go against him, John confronts his past and talks to that one person who might know something about his death: Obadiya. The former members of John's platoon suspect Obadiya of being behind Simon's murder and want to avenge him.

Emeka
Tension rises at Simon's funeral. Obadiya wants to make a deal with John as it is better for both if they shut up. Working together with the detectives investigating Simon's death, Isabella discovers that his killer is likely one of the members of the old platoon. She shares this information with John, hoping that he will then want to work with her. Meanwhile, the former commandos are working together again to interrogate Obadiya, with dire consequences.

Mark
Former boss Cor Kramer requests John to return to the military as he is in the best position to unravel the deadly intrigues. He starts his first day of work back at the Korps Commandotroepen and becomes further estranged from his wife Marte, who is against it. Isabella firmly interrogates the former platoon members in an effort to get to the truth. When Mark, who suffers from severe PTSD, breaks up just before his interrogation, John manages to hide him from Isabella.

Kenneth
Kenneth, always the toughest of the old platoon members, is also suffering from PTSD, but manages to keep it hidden from everyone. He is a sex addict, drinks too much and ends up in a violent confrontation with a pimp. John finds out that the telescope he found on the day Simon was killed is from Kenneth. John does not share any of his emotions with his family and this has a negative impact for his daughter, so Marte decides to separate him and take Sophie with her. Isabella continues to search for the truth.

Semper Fokking Fi
John hunts for Kenneth, who he suspects is Simon's murderer. Kenneth battles his addictions and goes into group therapy. Isabella tries to get Kenneth to confess and tell him the whole story of what happened in Nigeria by telling him it's the only way for him to ever get 'clean'.

De weg naar rust en vrede
John lies to Marte by saying that all issues are solved and they can return to live a normal life together. John proposes horse therapy for Sophie. During therapy, Sophie falls from her horse and is sent to hospital.

Victim controlled
Isabella visits John in the hospital, where he is with Sophie and Marte. She tells him that Kenneth was murdered. Marte gives John an alibi for the murder. John receives an anonymous video of someone placing a bomb under the sleeping Sophie's hospital bed.

Gods toorn is a bitch
John, Marte and Sophie have to stay on the army base for their own safety. Even though John should actually stay there because of Sophie, he leaves to look for Aza.

Happy ending
John and Aza pay a visit to Berend's house, where Berend has gone crazy. He tied up Isabella and is aiming his weapon at them. Berend claims it's all John's fault.
