A psychiatrist is found handcuffed to the bottom of his swimming pool. The hunt is on for a young blonde woman present at the crime scene. During the investigation, Cherif and Briard are accompanied by the actor Tom Duval, who is studying their investigating methods for a future role...

Le cri du silence
A high-society couple are violently attacked at home. The investigation leads Cherif and Briard to a centre for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, where they find that silence really is golden!

Témoin gênant
After witnessing a murder, Cherif is knocked down by a car. Suffering from amnesia, he has forgotten the last five years of his life. Was he deliberately run down? Whatever the circumstances, the investigation becomes difficult when the key witness cant even remember his partners name.

A la folie
Still trying to recover his memory, Cherif is admitted to a rest home for police officers, where he meets Elodie Mansard. Receiving treatment for psychological problems, she claims that she has been the victim of several murder attempts since arriving. Only Cherif believes her and decides to investigate.

Un ami d'enfance
The curator at Lyon's Fabric Museum is found murdered. Although the victim was undeniably professional, she was also tyrannical and manipulating with her staff and had plenty of enemies. On a more positive note, the museum's head of security is a childhood friend of Cherif.

Chantages
A shady young photographer is found murdered. While investigating the case, Cherif needs to contact his estranged father once again. His daughter Sarah is particularly curious about the grandfather she now discovers.

With filming underway at the police station, the actor Tom Duval's assistant is found dead in a crime committed under the very noses of the police, on their premises. A real challenge for Cherif and Briard, who also face an internal investigation.

A teacher at Sarah's high school is murdered when preparing to leave town. What or rather who was she running from?

Les jeux sont faits
While heading for the police station, Déborah barely escapes a mysterious gunmen on a motorbike. A passer-by, Paul Blanchard, is not so lucky and dies. During the investigation, Chérif and Briard discover that Blanchard was involved in kidnapping the daughter of a major industrialist from Lyon.

Rien ne va plus
Each of the suspects having had a brush with Chérif is murdered in turn. The officer is clearly the key to these killings but what message is the killer trying to send him? Who will be the next victim?

Book has gathered around him a host of lovable, damaged misfits whom he informally protects, cajoles, and mentors. His wife Trottie runs the wallpaper shop next door. She's a charismatic adventuress whom Book loves deeply but not physically, for they are in a 'lavender' marriage to help conceal Book's sexual orientation in a time when it was illegal to be gay.
Bookish marries post-war nostalgia with the reckless and life-affirming atmosphere of the times, creating a fast-paced and stylish detective drama.
