Ascot and Haydock Park
Rishi Persad and the Channel 4 Racing team are at Ascot for the traditional pre-Christmas fixture that combines festive fun with top quality jumps racing. The ú100,000 Long Walk Hurdle was won last year by superstar Thistlecrack on his way to domination of the long distance hurdling division. Then, to round off events, comes the ú150,000 Wessex Youth Trust Hurdle, one of the most competitive handicaps of the season. Ascot: 1.50, 2.25, 3.00 and 3.35pm. Haydock Park: 2.05 and 2.40pm.
