Sophomore year brings a new set of challenges for Persian teenager Chad Amani, whose friendships and family bonds are put to the test as he awkwardly comes to terms with his cultural identity.

It's sophomore year for newly elected class president Chad Amani. On top of the world after a summer of hanging with the cool kids, Chad fights to contain a secret that could destroy his popularity.

Mr. Worker
Chad is suspended from school and devastated when his mom takes away all of his devices. On a downward spiral and in need of some guidance, Chad is sent to work at his Uncle Hamid's Persian rug store.

Mona
Chad helps Mona, a new student from France who's also Persian, navigate life at an American high school. When he winds up offending her, Chad needs to make a grand gesture to apologize.

Señor Doobs
Chad finds himself at odds with the school's beloved Spanish teacher. After the teacher confiscates a cherished item, Chad must try to get it back while walking the line between right and wrong.

Third Wheel
Chad thinks Peter and Denise's relationship is moving too fast, so he tries to set some ground rules in order to slow them down. When those fail, Chad has to support Peter's big step toward adulthood.

The Dance
When Chad's prom-posal to Mona fails, he tries to save face by going to the school dance with his sister's scary friend. Chad accidentally captivates his date, who tries to ruin his chances with Mona.

New Brother
With Peter's help, Chad tries to discover the identity of his mom's new boyfriend. After a few leads and interrogations, Chad realizes she's dating someone who might be to his own social advantage.

Maman Bozorg
When Chad's grandmother visits from Iran, she complicates Chad's plan to impress Mona, and Chad must reconcile the expectations of being a Persian man with the realities of being an American teenager.

American Boy
Before a class trip to Vancouver, Chad learns he's not a US citizen. To help Chad avoid embarrassment, Hamid calls on an old friend. When plans go awry, Chad and Hamid must deal with the consequences.

Class Trip
On a class trip to the Vancouver Aquarium, Peter and Denise coach Chad on how to express his feelings to Mona, but when she shares her summer plans, Chad realizes he must act quickly to get his girl.

The Repair Shop
The Repair Shop is a workshop of dreams, where broken or damaged cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life.
Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.

The Gilded Age
The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic change, of huge fortunes made and lost, and the rise of disparity between old money and new.
Against this backdrop of change, the story begins in 1882 — introducing young Marian Brook, the orphaned daughter of a Union general, who moves into the New York City home of her thoroughly old money aunts Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook. Accompanied by Peggy Scott, an accomplished African-American woman, Marian inadvertently becomes enmeshed in a social war between one of her aunts, a scion of the old money set, and her stupendously rich neighbors, a ruthless railroad tycoon and his ambitious wife, George and Bertha Russell.
