In the first of the heats, the first batch of five celebrities undertake three tough culinary challenges in a bid to prove their cookery talent to judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Hoping to show they've got what it takes are actor Keith Allen, TV presenter Michelle Ackerley, former international rugby player and TV presenter Martin Bayfield, recording artist and model Josh Cuthbert and singer-songwriter Carol Decker. The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box,. The contestants must use the ingredients in the box, as well as a basic larder, to create one just dish in 50 minutes. The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers. In the final test it's back to the MasterChef kitchen, as the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design.

The first challenge is the new Pairs Challenge, where the four celebrities are split into two teams of two, and each team is tasked with cooking the same dish. Both plates must be identical in both appearance and flavour, but there is a catch. In-between each pair there is a wall. The only way for the celebrities to successfully produce identical plates is by communicating with their team mate through the wall. The celebrities are then sent out on their first mass-catering challenge. Remaining in their teams they have to make lunch for over 100 members of staff at the famous Tilbury Docks, the largest port on the River Thames. Then it's back to MasterChef headquarters as the battle for a semi-final place reaches its climax. The four celebrities must now cook a two-course meal that that is judged by John and Gregg, as well as by former champions Emma Kennedy and Sophie Thompson, and finalist Sam Nixon. Only the best two contestants can earn a semi-final place.

This second heat week sees five more celebrities enter the MasterChef kitchen to undertake three tough culinary challenges in a bid to prove themselves to judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Battling for the crown are actor John Partridge, TV personality Spencer Matthews, TV presenter and singer Frankie Bridge, TV presenter Jean Johansson and actress and singer Anita Harris. The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box. The contestants must use the ingredients in the box, which include lamb rump, whole mackerel, mozzarella, aubergine, apricots and filo pastry, to create just one dish in 50 minutes. The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking in a restaurant kitchen for the first time, preparing dishes for paying customers. For the final test it's back to the MasterChef kitchen, as the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour. At the end of this test one of them is sent home.

The first challenge is the new Pairs Challenge, where the four celebrities are split into two teams of two. Each team is tasked with cooking the same dish. Trying to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are actor Chizzy Akudolu, England cricketer Monty Panesar, world champion Paralympian Stefanie Reid, comedian Zoe Lyons and TV star Gemma Collins. The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box. The contestants must use the ingredients in the box to create one dish in 50 minutes. The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen. Monty, Stefanie and Chizzy head to Coya, where modern Peruvian cuisine is cooked over open charcoals, while Gemma and Zoe are sent to Meraki, a Greek restaurant in London's Fitzrovia. For the final test it is back to the MasterChef kitchen, where the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour. At the end of this test one of them is sent home.

The third heat week continues with the four remaining celebrities facing three more culinary challenges, as they battle for a place in the semi-finals. The first challenge is the new Pairs Challenge, where the four celebrities are split into two teams of two. Each team is tasked with cooking the same dish, but in-between each pair there is a wall. The celebrities are then sent out on their first mass-catering challenge. Working in teams once again they have to make lunch for over 100 members of staff at the British Airways Global Learning Academy. It is then back to the MasterChef kitchen as the battle for a semi-final place reaches its climax. The four celebrities must now cook a faultless two-course meal that will not only be judged by John and Gregg but also by Celebrity MasterChef champions Lisa Faulkner and Kimberley Wyatt and finalist Rylan Clark-Neal. Only the best two contestants can earn a semi-final place.

The hunt for a champion continues as the final five celebrities are welcomed to the challenge in the last of the heats. Trying to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are actor Lisa Maxwell, professional dancer AJ Pritchard, furniture restorer Jay Blades, international recording artist Stella Parton, and DJ and broadcaster Clara Amfo. The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box, the infamous test of imagination and creativity. The contestants must use the ingredients in the box to create one dish in 50 minutes. The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers. For the final test of culinary creativity it's back to the MasterChef kitchen, as the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour. At the end of this test one of them is sent home.

The four remaining celebrities in the final heat face three more culinary challenges as they battle for a place in the semi-finals. The first challenge is the new Pairs Challenge, where the four celebrities are split into two teams of two. Each team is tasked with cooking the same dish, but in-between each pair there is a wall. The only way for the celebrities to successfully produce identical plates is by communicating with their teammate through the wall. The celebrities are then sent out on their first mass-catering challenge. Remaining in their teams they have to make lunch for over 100 members of staff and students at the Royal Veterinary College in Hertfordshire. It is then back to the MasterChef kitchen, where the four celebrities must cook a faultless two-course meal that is not only judged by John and Gregg but also by Celebrity MasterChef champion Alexis Conran, semi-finalist Reverand Richard Coles and finalist Andi Peters.

After four weeks of competition it is the first of the semi-finals, and the best eight cooks remain. The celebrities must now cook a feast for 90 of the staff and volunteers at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, West Midlands, in specially constructed marquee kitchens. Split into two teams, it's a race against the clock as the celebrities must design and create four mouthwatering dishes each (a meat, fish and vegetarian dish, and dessert) from a selection of ingredients, including pork belly, beef rump, mackerel and whole haddock, as well as a selection of fruit and vegetables, and herbs and spices. Next it's back to the MasterChef kitchen, where they face an invention test with a difference. Each contestant is given their favourite ingredient, ranging from steak to rabbit, as well as lobster and butternut squash. They have just 90 minutes to cook a dish that showcases that ingredient to keep them in the competition. At the end of this challenge more celebrities are sent home.

It is the last of the semi-finals, and the six remaining celebrity cooks continue to battle it out. Their first task is the Pie Challenge. Each contestant is tasked with making the pie of their choice, sweet or savoury, in one hour and fifty minutes from ingredients including a range of meat and fish and a wide selection of fruit and vegetables. The remaining five celebrities must then prepare a five-course lunch in celebration of over 40 years of the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, cooking for some of the experts from the series. They cook a specially designed menu created by award-winning chef Paul Askew. Under his guidance, and following a recipe, they each have to recreate one of his dishes. It is then back to the MasterChef kitchen, where the final five must each create one exceptional dish inspired by someone they love or admire. For the cook who does not make the grade, their competition is over. The remaining four go through to finals week.

It's finals week and the four remaining cooks continue to battle for the Celebrity MasterChef title. The celebrities' first challenge is their most daunting yet - to cook an afternoon tea. Each celebrity has just two hours to cook two sweet and two savoury items but they will not only have to impress John and Gregg, but also leading pastry chef Eric Lanlard. Then, in their last challenge as a quartet, the celebrities must cook two dishes of their own design for three of the country's most feared restaurant critics, for a place in the final three. Serving food to these masters of the dining room is a daunting task for even the most adept chefs, and the celebrities' choice of dishes will be key to securing them a place in the final.

It's the Celebrity MasterChef final. Twenty celebrities started the battle to be crowned 2018 champion, now only three remain. After six weeks of gruelling challenges, just two tough challenges stand between them and the title. The remaining celebrities must draw on everything they have learned over the past few weeks and cook to the very highest of standards if they are to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Their penultimate challenge is the toughest and most daunting of the competition - The Chef's Table. This year it will be hosted by critically acclaimed chef Bryn Williams. The three finalists will be working at his new restaurant, Bryn Williams at Somerset House, cooking for an exceptional gathering of some the best chefs in the country - Marcus Wareing (2 Michelin stars), Lisa Goodwin-Allen (1 Michelin star), Shaun Rankin (1 Michelin star), Robin Gill and Romy Gill MBE.
