Gaetz called the panel's investigation a "smear" and denied the allegations. Attorneys for Gaetz did not respond to requests for comment on Monday. President-elect Trump says he will declare a national emergency and use U.S. military assets to carry out a mass deportation of undocumented immigrants when he returns to office.
