Nominated for their DIY deficits by family, friends or colleagues, the participants are put though their paces at the Handyman Rehabilitation Centre - a dilapidated apartment complex in Toronto. Each Handyman and their nominator is assigned an apartment where they will execute all of the individual reno tasks. And outside, the participants must work together as a team to complete a variety of landscape challenges.

Then, after one final challenge, the experts nail one participant with the unfortunate "honour" of being Canada's Worst Handyman.
