Camping - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Pilot
A "perfect" group camping trip, obsessively organized by Kathryn McSorley-Jodell in honor of her adoring husband Walt's 45th birthday, is threatened by tension between Kathryn and her estranged best friend, Nina-Joy, the unexpected addition of a pissed-off goth teen and the chaotic arrival of Miguel, who is smack dab in the middle of a breakdown and toting his new girlfriend, Jandice, a woman of many talents who rubs Kathryn the wrong way.

Going to Town
After her son, Orvis, gets roughed up in a game of flag football, Kathryn rushes him to the nearest hospital, flipping out about his health and the danger that Miguel's girlfriend, Jandice, poses to the weekend. As Kathryn and Walt attend to Orvis, the others hit a local bar, where a racially charged remark to Nina-Joy awakens George's rage. Elsewhere, Miguel and Jandice create real issues for a prissy shop owner.

Fishing Trip
When the guys go on a fishing trip, Walt opens up about his dead-in-the-water sex life. Jandice encourages Carleen to loosen up and embrace her female strength. Kathryn's attempt to mend things with Nina-Joy is overshadowed by a big announcement. Miguel and Jandice's first misunderstanding gets serious fast.

Up All Night
A late-night pill swap leads a buzzed Kathryn to crash a neighboring campsite, where she runs into Nina-Joy, Carleen and some chic old friends. Unsettled by a revelation from Miguel, Jandice ends up sharing a beer with a forbidden friend.

Just Plain Mad
Kathryn attempts to cede control; Nina-Joy and George clash; Miguel tries to win back Jandice.

Carleen?!
Carleen goes missing, and Kathryn's hunt for her sister finds her partnered with an eager Jandice, who wants to start fresh. Meanwhile, Walt tries on the role of unofficial deputy park ranger after coming to Harry for help.

Birthday Party (Part 1)
With Walt's birthday party on the verge of collapse, Kathryn takes Jandice up on her wild suggestion. In the midst of the revelry, Nina-Joy is confronted by her past and makes up her mind about her future with George. Carleen returns to camp and doesn't like what she finds.

Birthday Party (Part 2)
Tensions between Kathryn and Jandice boil over as Walt's birthday party winds down; George finds clarity in his relationship with Nina-Joy; Carleen laments growing older; Miguel has an awkward sexual encounter; unexpected changes abound.

With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.
