The world has changed, but even with hundreds of new slayers working together in squads across the globe, Buffy Summers still has her own demons to face. Later, the homesick Buffy, now based in Scotland, pays a visit to the giant-sized Dawn, only discover that Dawn's problems have only gotten bigger. Meanwhile, government forces led by General Voll unearth a frightening discovery that could spell deep trouble for Buffy and her squad.
