Britain's Best Home Cook - Season 2

Season 2
Best Home Cook

Episodes

Episode 1
Claudia Winkleman hosts the return of the competition in which 10 home cooks move into a shared house and compete in a series of weekly challenges designed to demonstrate their flair, skill and creativity. There is also a new addition to the judging line-up as Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett joins home cooking queen Mary Berry and produce expert Chris Bavin. For their first two challenges, the cooks have to come up with their ultimate pasta dinner and a dish based on a piece of fruit.

Episode 2
The nine home cooks whip up their ultimate meringue desserts, then rustle up some amazing vegetable dishes. The weakest cooks will then face Angela's dreaded eliminator recipe.

Episode 3
The remaining eight home cooks prepare their ultimate brunches for the judges and tackle a surprisingly tricky rustle-up challenge.

Episode 4
The remaining seven cooks bake their ultimate children's birthday cakes.

Episode 5
The remaining six cooks prepare dishes for an ultimate curry night feast comprising two vegetable dishes, traditional bread and a fried snack. Two cooks take risks by using ingredients the judges haven't tasted in curries before. Will their risks pay off?

Episode 6
It's the quarter final of Best Home Cook and the remaining six home cooks are still reeling from the fact that last week no one was sent home.
Now they're in for another surprise, as for one week only the Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge has joined the judging line-up in Angela Hartnett's place.

Episode 7
The semi-finalists must impress the judges with their ultimate drinks party canapes before improvising with a scary store cupboard staple. Who will make the final?

Episode 8
Claudia Winkleman presents the final, which sees the last three contestants rising to the challenge. To shake things up, however, the judges present their tasks in a different order to normal. Chris Bavin's `rustle up" comes first, after which it's on to another of Angela Hartnett's tricky recipes in the eliminator. Sadly, one of the hopefuls will then receive their marching orders, leaving the other two to take on Mary Berry's challenge - a full three-course meal which will secure one of them the title.
