Blue Peter - Season 28 / Year 2023

Musician and author Tom Fletcher joins the team as a very special guest in the Blue Peter studio to announce a brand new writing competition where you could become an author by writing your very own short story!

It's a Music badge takeover! Joel learns Irish folk music and Mwaksy headlines a massive arena with the world's largest school choir. Also there is a brilliant beatbox performance live in the studio, and the presenters and studio audience take to the floor themselves to give beatboxing a go!

Mwaksy jets off to Sweden for an exclusive look around Minecraft HQ with the lucky winner of the Create Something Great competition. Back in the studio, this month's BP VIP joins Joel to perform some magnificent magic tricks, while Henry has fun on a dog agility course!

We celebrate Richie's action-packed time as Blue Peter presenter number 38 in a show full of surprises and special guests. And Richie takes on his final big challenge as he is let loose behind the wheel of a monster truck!

Meet Blue Peter presenter number 42 as they join the team in the studio for the first time and are put through their paces in an abseiling challenge. Also this year's Junior Bake Off Champion makes cake pops to get you ready for Red Nose Day. 

Blue Peter becomes Red Peter for the day as the presenters kick off the Red Nose Day celebrations in style! The team are joined by famous faces as they attempt a very messy live World Record, Joel finds out about the healing power of horses, the presenters take on an indoor skydiving challenge and singer and Strictly Come Dancing star Fleur East performs live in the studio. 

Mwaksy and Abby join One Zoo Three brothers Cam, Aaron and Tyler at their zoo to hear all about their new series, OZT Goes Wild in Britain! They get hands-on with red pandas, big cats and camels, and one lucky BP VIP becomes a zookeeper for the day. 

Strictly winner Kelvin Fletcher joins us in the BP garden with some super-cute springtime animals, we meet a litter-busting organisation setting sail to prevent river litter, and Mwaksy teams up with some BP fans who love gardening with their grandparents!

We're building up to an exciting Doctor Who announcement, superstar chef Jamie Oliver helps plant the Blue Peter vegetable patch, and find out what happened when our Awesome Orbit competition winner went behind the scenes at a UK rocket launch!

Ahead of HM King Charles III's coronation, Blue Peter is celebrating with a street party in the studio! BP fans will be leading the festivities and showing off their party ideas, and Joel joins the Royal Marines Band Service for a special Blue Peter performance to mark this historic day.

Eurovision fever has taken over the studio, as the presenters celebrate with a party with special guest Freya Skye and an audience of Ukrainian children. The team take a Eurovision superfan behind the scenes at the big event in Liverpool for a very special BP VIP experience, and tyhey chat to UK entry, Mae Muller, ahead of the grand final. Meanwhile, Joel meets the school that is decorating kites in Liverpool and teaming up with children in Ukraine to fly the kites simultaneously across Liverpool and cities in Ukraine.

Joel goes behind the scenes at the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage show to learn the secrets behind the magic. Meanwhile, Stephen Mulhern is in the studio to show us some magic of his own, and he goes head-to-head with Joel in a Guinness World Record attempt. And Abby has a very special surprise in store for superstar author Julia Donaldson.

Mwaksy joins the cast of CBBC drama,Silverpoint, taking us for a look behind the scenes! Abby and Joel make a brand new bed out of upcycled clothes for Henry the dog, and our presenters take a trip back in time to become knights for a day!
