Dog Grooming / Fenway Tour Guide
Now retired from baseball, Big Papi needs a new career! This week he takes dog grooming out for a walk – until he discovers that it's a lot grosser than it seems. Then he takes a shot at being a tour guide at Fenway – and knocks it out of the park.

Food Truck Cook / Barber
Big Papi's job search lands him at a food truck, doling out food to hungry customers and weighing in on "Big Papi Sandwich." Then he continues his job search at a barbershop where he learns to cut hair – and even tries out his new skills on a customer.

Zookeeper / Barista
Big Papi tries out zookeeping at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, coming face to face with a variety of animals—some more friendly than others. He then tries his hand at a local coffee shop, serving elaborate drinks to caffeine-starved customers.

Firefighter Trainee / Sous Chef
Big Papi spends a day with the Boston Fire Department, getting a window into what it's like to be one of Boston's bravest. He then tries out working in the kitchen of a local steak restaurant where he'll see if he's seasoned enough to face the customers.

Brewmaster / Coach / Mechanic
Big Papi heads to the Sam Adams brewery to see if he has the stuff to make it as a brewmaster. He then attempts a job he's perfectly suited for: batting coach. Finally, he gets his hands dirty, inspecting and fixing cars as an auto mechanic.

Cigar Roller / Lobster Fisherman
Big Papi gets to put his love of cigars to good use working as a cigar roller. He then works the traps as a lobster fisherman in an attempt to provide himself with lunch—and a new career.

Bomb Squad Technician / Bartender
David "Big Papi" Ortiz's explosive career choice has him training to be a bomb squad technician. He then has the chance to have a mixed drink to unwind from the stress of bombs exploding, but he will be the one preparing them as a bartender.

Horse Handicapper / Trainer
David "Big Papi" Ortiz heads off to the racetrack to learn how to become a horse handicapper. After betting on the ponies, Papi starts a job that's a little closer to his comfort zone – fitness training. But can he manage to get a client?

Sommelier / Salsa Dancer
Our former big league slugger studies to become a sommelier—learning about wine varietals and eventually making recommendations to diners. He then heads to the dance floor to become a salsa dancer. But will he trip over his own feet?
