The great conductor Bernard Haitink marks the 50th anniversary year of his first appearance at the Proms with Mahler's 3rd symphony. One of the most powerful and expansive musical visions of nature ever created, this is Mahler's personal hymn to the natural world. The London Symphony Orchestra is joined by the mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, the women's voices of the London Symphony Chorus and the Tiffin Boys' Choir.
