Episode 1 was the first of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Following a successful first season, BattleBots returned to Comedy Central. This episode featured just one battle - a lightweight Round of 16 clash between fan favorite Mecha Tentoumushi and Evil Fish Tank. While Tentoumushi returned having beaten Shish-ka-bot in the preliminary rounds, Evil Fish Tank was the most recent entry from Giant Nut winners Team Delta and had not yet fought given its first opponent had forfeited. The episode premiered on December 12, 2000, immediately followed by Episodes 2 and 3.
