At Home With Katherine Ryan - Season 2

Season 2
In a new UKTV Original series, comedian Katherine Ryan once again opens the doors to her family home for At Home With Katherine Ryan (4x60') on U&W, Broadcast Digital's Entertainment Channel of the Year.
Katherine Ryan is back. On your screens, and in her pre-pregnancy jeans! Now that Fenna is 18 months old and Fred 3, the pressure to get back to work has won out, and Katherine's about to start a 10 month comedy tour of the UK and Europe. But that means leaving the family for a few days every week, and leaving husband Bobby in charge. How will he cope with her gone?
To help them to stay connected through this period of change, the couple seek out Marriage coaching from Adeaze Chiwoko, who helps them explore their relationship, and delves into their backgrounds and childhoods to help them understand why they are how they are. Surprisingly for perfect Katherine, there seem to be more problems with her than she expected!
Family life is getting bumpier this year too for the Ryan Kootstra clan, and 15 year old Violet is a force of nature - facing her looming GCSE's but preferring to doom scroll and munch on takeaways. Fred and Fenna are double trouble, running rings around their parents, causing Katherine to catastrophise all manner of dangers when she goes on the road. Katherine's trust in men is rock bottom making the tour a real test of her belief in her husband. Can he parent their children effectively, or will he be too drawn to the golf course?!
This year Katherine is navigating everything from teen social media addiction to how to trust your husband and fertility tests, while travelling the country touring and missing her family terribly. And as Bobby decides to turn the tables on Katherine for a very public roasting, who exactly will have the last laugh?

How to be a good wife
To help them to stay connected through this period of change, the couple seek out Marriage coaching from Adeaze Chiwoko, who helps them explore their relationship, and delves into their backgrounds and childhoods to help them understand why they are how they are. A reluctant Bobby agrees to go through with it, but the tables are turned on Katherine when a series of problems are discovered with her behaviour! After finding out they are still co-sleeping with the children and not sharing a bed, Adeaze also recommends that they see intimacy coach Seema Anand to connect more - much to Katherine's horror! What is going to be involved in this visit, and will it be too saucy for Katherine as self proclaimed ‘Vanilla' to take?
After all the feedback from the marriage coaching, Katherine is determined to find out if and how she should be a better wife to Bobby - and what does that even mean these days?! From trying on being a Trad Wife for a day, complete with visiting chickens, to lunching with radical feminist Chidera Eggerue, Katherine explores the issues facing her as a wife and those in the future for her daughter Violet.
Meanwhile Violet is all set for the night of her life to see her idol Taylor Swift play at Wembley. With her beloved cousin Lily, she'll be queueing up from 4am to make sure they get to the barrier, to be as close to Taylor as possible. Or will this nepo baby have other ideas of how to bag that front spot?!
Katherine's comedy tour has put the family dynamics under pressure, but it's all in an episodes work for the over-thinking comic, mother, chicken keeper, and glamorous 40 something, Katherine Ryan.

How to wrangle a teenager
There's just a few weeks left until Katherine Ryan starts her huge UK and European comedy tour. And with the new school year starting too, Katherine needs to find a way to help her 15 year old teenager Violet focus. But instead of studying for her all-important GCSE's, Violet's jaw-dropping act of teenage rebellion forces Katherine to stage an intervention with the help of social media and mental health campaigner Natasha Devon and teen parenting coach Anita Cleare.
Katherine and Bobby continue their marriage coaching sessions - with Bobby spilling a very up close and personal secret! And, worried about how much time they might have left to have a baby, the couple visit fertility expert Dr Anand Patel in Harley Street, but get some unexpected news.

The Big Tour Kicks Off
Comedian Katherine Ryan is starting a 10 month comedy tour of the UK and Europe. If that wasn't enough pressure she's leaving behind Violet, a teenager in her GCSE year and her two newest babies, Fred and Fenna, both under 3. It's a big ask for stay-at-home golf dad Bobby, especially as Katherine is, in her own words ‘hyper independent' and worries how they will all cope without her doing everything. Before Katherine takes to the road, she lays down the law between her husband and Violet and implores Bobby to spend more time with Violet. As work never stops, she dashes off for an appearance on fellow mum of three, Vogue Williams's new podcast, which only reinforces her long held opinion that dads have a way easier time than mothers.
In this week's visit to the marriage coach, Bobby admits that losing his father when he was 10 not only means he has no role model in being a father, but also that he sadly has no memories of his dads life. He loves making memories with his own children, and although it will be tough with Katherine away for a few days at a time every week, he's looking forward to the madness of fun activities with the kids. And a visit to old friend and fellow comedian, Aisling Bea and her brand new baby brings up the sticky topic of whether or not she and Bobby should have a fourth baby.
As we see Katherine on the endless adventure of hotel rooms and plane rides, Katherine and Bobby find a way to adjust to their new situations. But will Katherine's old fears of the Nanny taking over her life come back to haunt her?

Who is Really Wearing the Trousers?
Comedian Katherine Ryan wants another baby, probably. And to go on tour, and to spend more time with her sexy husband and be on hand for her much adored three children, and to get a full night's sleep. Is that really TOO much to ask? Probably.
With her ten month long tour now in full swing and wracking up the air miles, Katherine returns home to join Bobby for some very intimate fertility tests and some shocking news.
In their final marriage coaching session with Adaeze, the couple discover that the secret to a healthy relationship might just be stepping into their partners shoes.
And while Katherine has been away, in addition to embracing his stay at home dad role, husband Bobby has been working with comedian and writer Geoff Norcott on a live comedy roast of his wife. He says it's his language of love, but is roasting 15 year old Violet a joke too far?
Still struggling with setting boundaries, Katherine decides to visit a Financial Dominatrix to see if she can learn how to stand up for herself more at home and in the process gets roped into recording a passive income clip that goes live. Could this be a new lucrative role for TV's Katherine Ryan or will her alter ego, Mistress Kat fall flat on her face?
