Arizona Bowl

Arizona Bowl (2015- )

RunningSports show

The Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl is a post-season college football bowl game certified by the NCAA that will begin play in the 2015 season. Backed by the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission, it will feature bowl-eligible teams from Conference USA and the Mountain West Conference, or alternatively the Sun Belt Conference in the event that either conference does not have enough bowl-eligible teams. The inaugural game will feature Nevada vs. Colorado State. This is the first non-championship bowl game to feature teams from the same conference since the 1979 Orange Bowl. The commissioner of the Mountain West called the 2015 pairing a "travesty" and a sign that the bowl system is "broken".
