In the second season, Angie and the detectives of the LAPD will investigate the murder of a sushi chef, the death of the "bad boy" in a boy band who gets decapitated by a t-shirt cannon and a band of drug-dealing lifeguards. In addition, they will tackle a difficult case with the help of a romance novelist.

IA puts Angie on probation after the LAPD servers are hacked. However, that doesn't stop her from checking out a string of senior citizen murders even when she's handcuffed to her desk.

Angie and Jay are forced to work with a romance novelist to solve an organ legging case at a local hospital before the mayor opens the new cancer wing. Meanwhile, Angie haunted by dreams of her time in a coma... and her first partner and lover Pepper at her side.

With Angie on personal leave, Jay and Danny investigate the mysterious death of a boy band member. Things are tense between Monica and Jay, while Angie finally tracks down Eddie who tells her what he's been up to since faking his death.

A Coast Guard sailor ends up dead in a refrigerator, murdered, and someone's responsible! When Angie investigates, she discovers that the man's death is tied to the illegal smuggling of Canadians and a conspiracy to unseat Mayor Perry.
