Niklas wants to understand who dad Lars really is, and at the fire station he gets to follow in his father's footsteps. An important conversation brings father and son closer.

Lars wants to show Niklas the value of maintenance, and they travel to the holiday home in Spain to do incidental work there. There they also get to talk about painful events in Niklas's childhood.

Lars turns 70, and he and Niklas will build a pergola that will be ready for the party. Lars does not want speeches on the day, but Niklas likes to surprise.

Lars wants to see what Niklas has actually learned in the project to become handy, and test whether he now takes practical challenges head on. Together they go on an overnight trip in the field, and the manhood test itself takes place at the fire station in Moss.
