Tatyana Skvortsova is a talented obstetrician and head physician of the maternity hospital. She devotes all her time to work, which negatively affects relationships in her own family.

Tanya's daughter flatly refuses to connect her life with medicine. She rebels against her mother's strong-willed decision and dreams of devoting herself to the stage - becoming a famous performer of her own songs. And her husband, tired of the fact that Tatyana is "married at work", soon starts an affair with her closest friend Alla.

Tatiana's life collapses when the patient, disobeying her recommendations, decides to give birth at home. Childbirth ends in tragedy. Everyone turns away from Tatyana, except for a casual acquaintance - the huntsman Dmitry ...
