Successful lawyer Anna Kalinina is going to marry designer Nikita, with whom she is expecting a child. But literally on the threshold of the registry office, the groom leaves her, exchanging her for another. Anya plunges headlong into her work, and suddenly she gets the case ... of her ex, who is accused of murdering a nanny in the house of businessman Alexander Sobolev. Nikita's mother begs Anna to help her son, because he is the father of her child.
Convinced of Nikita's innocence, Anna goes to the village where the crime was committed and meets Sobolev and his little daughter Katya. At first, the relationship between Anna and Sobolev does not work out, the businessman is not eager to help the criminal's lawyer. But still they manage to get on the trail of the real culprit of what happened. Gradually, sympathy arises between Sobolev and Anna, which develops into a serious feeling…
