Sacrifice
An on-call stroke doctor has a busy shift in the resus department, and shares his personal experiences of working on the front line during the first week of the pandemic. When a 19-year-old is treated for injuries sustained in a motorbike crash, his mother reflects on leaving her children in Colombia in search of a better life for them abroad. Other patients include a builder with an ankle injury sustained playing basketball, and a 72-year-old with a suspected stroke.

Someone To Talk To
A 76-year-old man sustains a head injury after falling down some stairs, and his daughter reflects on how his caring for her mother through her dementia has left him exhausted. A five-year-old girl is brought into the paediatric department with a large splinter lodged in her bottom, and a patient has a lump on her shoulder that has developed since having a fall five weeks ago.

Lasting Legacy
A nurse shares her story of finding a career she loves, and doctors suspect a 93-year-old man with a low heart rate, dizziness and confusion may need a new pacemaker fitting. A construction worker whose finger has been crushed discusses the importance of male role models in his life, and a haemophiliac reflects on living with his condition.

Into the Light
An 11-year-old is brought in after being struck by a car. A woman has tripped over her cat. And a doctor describes the painful decision to live away from home for the pandemic.

Everybody Needs Somebody
A 56-year-old woman is rushed to St George's with an open ankle fracture after falling in her garden, and a man suffering chest pains looks back on his career on the railway, which was cut short by a leg amputation. An 84-year-old man collapses at home following a bout of dizziness, and his children reflect on the challenges of watching his health decline in recent years.

Support Bubble
A rugby player is scanned for spinal damage following a collision during a match, and describes her struggles with mental health issues as she awaits the results. A teacher is knocked off his bicycle after receiving some bad news, while a man who broke two bones in his ankle after a fall is assisted by his dead wife's best friend.

Blink of an Eye
Claire, 46, has been sent to A&E by her GP with chronic back pain, and doctors soon realise she may be suffering a serious underlying spinal injury. Anne Marie has been rushed to St George's following a suspected stroke, and staff have to act quickly to help prevent any long-lasting damage, while five-day-old Gracie is brought in by new parents Danny and Jordan, concerned she has an infected umbilical cord.

Turn Back Time
The staff at St George's Hospital in south-west London treat patients from three different generations. Leo is in A&E after crashing his car and flipping it on its roof. Leo's husband JR tells the story of how the two men met and how some members of their family struggled to accept their marriage. Meanwhile, young Kieran has hurt his wrist tumbling off his skateboard and 91-year-old Lillian has fallen over at home.

With or Without You
Seventy-year-old Jenny is brought in with a suspected stroke, and doctors must confirm the diagnosis and decide whether she is still in time to receive life-changing treatment. Her husband Roy shares the difficult experiences they've faced together and describes Jenny as the rock of the family. Ronnie has come into St George's with severe lower back pain. Doctors assess whether the 29-year-old's pain is due to his kidney stones or something more serious. Ronnie is accompanied by his girlfriend Anneline, who reflects on the similarities between Ronnie and her late father.
