Side Swap

Jim and Mary Ellen Byrne have a lot of work cut out for them. In addition to vaulting the ceilings in their main living area for a dramatic transformation, they are switching position of their kitchen from one side of the house to the other. Add a new fireplace facade and the Byrne's are looking at big bucks to complete their project. Luckily, host and licensed contractor John DeSilvia has some ways they can save to keep this couple on budget and on schedule. After their contractor completes construction on the new structure, the homeowners step in to do the rest of the work themselves.
