Joe Buck
The son of sportscaster Jack Buck, he worked for Fox Sports from its 1994 inception through 2022, including roles as lead play-by-play announcer for the network's National Football League and Major League Baseball coverage. He served as the television play-by-play announcer for the World Series over a 25-year span from 1996 to 2021 (with the exceptions of the 1997 and 1999 series, which were called by Bob Costas for NBC). Buck is known for his distinctively smooth and focused style of play-calling. In December 2025, he was named the 2026 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
In 2022, Buck moved from
Fox to ESPN, where he is the lead play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football.
