In September 2020, Mac became the co-owner of the Welsh football club Wrexham A.F.C. with Ryan Reynolds; this was covered in the FX sports documentary series Welcome to Wrexham (2022–present), for which he won an Emmy Award as one of the executive producers.
In 2025, Mac filed documents in Los Angeles to change his name to Rob Mac, to facilitate his work in South America.
