BiographyRyan Rodney Reynolds (born October 23, 1976) is a Canadian and American actor, producer and businessman. Known for starring in comedic and superhero films, he was the world's second-highest-paid actor in 2020 and 2024, and his works have grossed $6.5 billion worldwide. Reynolds is the recipient of numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as nominations for two Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Reynolds began acting at the age of thirteen, taking on small roles in various television series. He had his first lead role in the teen soap opera Hillside (1991–1993) and later secured the lead role in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl (1998–2001).
