There is a horrific discovery for Inspector Jayne Bashford when she investigates an illegal puppy farm. Plus a call about a bird of prey that has crash landed, and the cat undergoing life-saving surgery.

Stories in this episode include the mischievous moggy who has swallowed a diamond necklace. Inspector Anthony Joynes has a day to remember as he sets a buzzard free, and the team deal with the rabbits left home alone.

Episode 4
The team is called to assist the fire brigade after a dog takes a nasty fall. Plus the horses rescued from potentially fatal floods, and a pig on the loose in a Leeds housing estate.

Episode 5
The team deal with the growing problem of tethered horses left on public land. And in another case, two unwanted dogs are left to starve.

Episode 6
Six horses are in danger after trying to escape their field. The team are called to assist police after a dog is left locked in a house for over a week, and there is a look at the overwhelming problem of Britain's stray cats.

Episode 7
This episode features a dog in serious danger after being left tied to a balcony. Inspector Claire Fisher finds eight pigs in a back yard on a Liverpool housing estate, and a cat needs rescuing after a night on the tiles.

Episode 8
This episode features eight labradors terrified of the outdoors. Inspector Lorna Campbell deals with the irritating problem of fleas and a call to a frightened feline in need of help.

Episode 9
Inspector Dave McAdam rescues a labrador kept in squalid conditions. Plus the fight to save a dog hit by a car, and a heron wrapped up in fishing wire on the River Thames.

Episode 10
Inspector Trevor Walker takes an urgent call to a deer hit by a car. And six injured seals are nursed back to health and released back into the North Sea.
